Period 3: Today we read for 10 minutes. Mrs. Carlisto grade our LW#14. We then read an excerpt from WEB MD, took 5 minutes to discuss it in groups of 3, then reread/answered 4 questions on a handout for a grade.

Period 3: We assessed each other's work by using the 2 point rubric and our knowledge of good writing. We also discussed the WWII IR book assignment.

Period 4: Today we looked at an example of a well written short answer response in an effort to get ready to craft our very own excellent responses.
We then took a look at the silent discussion from Friday to grow our ideas, sat next to writing partners and began writing our responses that were assigned in Google classroom.

Today we looked at another book trailer and then looked at an example of a well written short answer response in an effort to get ready to craft our very own excellent responses.
We then took a look at the silent discussion from yesterday to grow our ideas, sat next to writing partners and began writing our responses that were shared in Google classroom. The final product is due Monday along with reading logs.

Today we read for ten minutes. I reminded students they needed to choose and complete an IR book about WWII by April 22nd. We then had silent discussion around the three questions asked about "Eleven" by Sandra Cissneros.

Monday 2/29
Today we answered 8 questions about independent reading--this will be graded so if you were out, please see me to make this up. I also collected logs and post its.
