Today is another work day. I did talk about the index card and the fact that you can have one BUT it may only contain keywords to prompt you--no complete sentences-- I then gave a booktalk in order to model for you what I expect for MONDAY"S presentation.
Jerry Craft will be here next Wednesday--IF you are interested in joining him for a drawing workshop or a writing workshop, please let me know so I can sign you up. Talk to me or send me an email. Workshops happen periods 4 (drawing), 7 (writing), 9 (drawing). You will be responsible for any missed work in classes those periods.

Today is devoted to completing your slideshow and preparing for your 3-5 minute book talk that you will give tomorrow. Here are the guidelines and the examples. Here is the rubric that will be used.

Happy Earth Day
Today I will collect logs, distribute new ones for the week of 4/22-5/2, You will do a 10-minute write about your book then begin preparing your book talk using your book, post-its and creativity. Presentations will happen on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Tuesday will be a full period work day.
HW: Enjoy your three days off, read a little and work on your booktalk if you think an additional 35 minutes will not be enough to get it done (but it really should).

Today we went into Google classroom and completed the reflection on the project we just completed.
Your homework for tonight is to find your post its for your IR book that you have either completed or are about to complete, in addition, you need to know the author’s name and the full title of the book. It would be helpful if you had the book with you on Friday.
Remember-I will collect your logs on Friday and your post its with it.
