Today I will introduce the concept of Post its

Post its are a way to interact with the text. They are a means to "make reading visible". They are NOT a summary.	QUESTION PREDICTION CONNECTION TO OTHER TEXTS CONNECTION TO LIFE CONNECTION TO PREVIOUS SCENE IN BOOK VOCABULARY

We will read "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl and practice post its
You will read for the final 10 minutes of class and take post its

Wednesday 10/11/17

Today we will talk books for a bit. You will have the opportunity to grow your "to Read" lists
Next we will take the STAR test.
When you finish, you will read in your IR books

Tuesday 10/10

Today we will fill out the SOC (status of the class).
Next we will read for 10 minutes and make an additional SOC entry
Next you will write about reading. I will provide this handout-responses must be made on a loose-leaf sheet of paper.
I will collect your responses on the way out.

Friday--last day of Clarklisto Project #1

Today we will learn from one another by viewing and listening to the final products. 
As we listen, you will need to pay attention.
We will hold you accountable for learning by asking you to record one fact you learned by listening to each voiceover. 
After each set of voiceovers, you will need to identify which voiceover was best and be able to point to the specific detail that made it better than the others. These will be collected and a grade will be assessed 
If you are absent today, be sure to see me 10th on Monday.


HW: Read 20 minutes--I will take a reading grade on Monday. I will expect you to have read at least 200 minutes since you last filled out your Status of the Class sheet.

Thursday 10/5

You've worked hard. You've complained a lot. You got it done! Be proud.

Now it's time to look back on the highs and lows of the project so we can learn a little about ourselves. Together we will do a little brainstorming, then you will need to complete this reflections sheet as a Google doc in your reflection section of your drive by the end of the period.  

If you finish early, you get to read!  

HW: Read 20 minutes--I will take a reading grade on Monday. I will expect you to have read at least 200 minutes since you last filled out your Status of the Class sheet.
